Did you know:

RP voted no on implementing the Kyoto Protocol
RP voted no on prohibiting drilling in ANWR
RP voted no on keeping the moratorium on off shore oil drilling
RP voted no on raising CAFE standards
RP voted no on removing oil and gas exploration subsidies
RP voted yes on banning Gay adoptions (doesn't sound very Libertarian)
RP voted no on allowing embryonic stem cell research
RP supports a Constitutional amendment for school prayer
RP supports the overturning Roe v Wade

Now if you agree with RP on these issues, fine. Otherwise, why in the heck would you be supporting him?

The Kyoto protocol would compromise our soverignty, this is consistant

RP voted no on prohibiting drilling in ANWR
Why not, the land drilled would be proportinate to less than a sqare foot on a football field. This is the most reasonable and quickest way to achieve energy independance. What is the democrats solution?

RP voted no on keeping the moratorium on off shore oil drilling
The Cubans, and Mexicans are, why not us?

RP voted no on raising CAFE standards
The point of libertarianism is less standards, your point?

RP voted no on removing oil and gas exploration subsidies
Subsidies are welfare, still a very libertarian principle, free market should take care of research.

RP voted yes on banning Gay adoptions (doesn't sound very Libertarian)
I actually hadn't heard this, but it doesn't sound like him to ban anything on the state level.

RP voted no on allowing embryonic stem cell research
Wrong, voted no on federally funding the research

RP supports a Constitutional amendment for school prayer
Still have never heard of this, proof?

RP supports the overturning Roe v Wade
There is nothing about abortion in the constitution, this was a matter of activists judges, Paul is a pro-life OB-GYN, he also doesn't support a national ban on abortion either.

Now if you agree with RP on these issues, fine. Otherwise, why in the heck would you be supporting him?

I really don't see the point in this, its no secret he supports these things.
BTW did you know Hillary supports universal healthcare? (gasp)

Not to mention, that blanket statements like these do not reveal the true nature of the bill. That bill on gay adoption could have been tied into a bill on...say...free pre-school for all children.

Obviously you agree with RP on the majority of the issues. Go for it, you and the rest of the 5%

I don't see why we should take our lead from Mexico and Cuba when it comes to offshore oil drilling. You do realize that's within 3 miles of our shores. Maybe if I owned stock in Exxon.

RP actually sponsored a resolution for a school prayer amendment. You will also see, on the page, that he questions the theory of evolution and supports teaching creationism in our schools.

Possibly so, but he appears to be a selective Libertarian at best.

Voted YES on banning gay adoptions in DC.

Vote on an amendment banning adoptions in District of Columbia by gays or other individuals who are not related by blood or marriage. Reference: Amendment introduced by Largent, R-OK; Bill HR 2587 ; vote number 1999-346 on Jul 29, 1999

If you really think he's only going to get 5% of the vote, why are you creating new posts in an attempt to turn people away from him? It seems like a waste of time if he's really going to just be an also-ran, so maybe you're a bit more concerned that he's got a shot at the win than you're letting on?

If he's such a great candidate, why worry about me posting his voting record?

I've found that RP supporters seem to have a cult followers like quality to them. Their man can do no wrong, suspension of logic, his pathetic numbers are a result of conspiracies etc.

If you honestly think RP has a chance of winning, then you are among them.

The neocon GOP crowd thinks that we will divert votes from their candidate. It will be a self fulfilling prophecy, because the more they tell me not to "waste a vote" on him, the more it strengthens my resolve.

Um, Congress is DC's state government. His personal belief is why he voted that way.
