Wow, had to go back 43 years. Racial discrimination in housing was common practice, including by the government! You know, George Washington owned slaves so I guess he wouldn't make a good president.

Plus it was Fred Trump who was running the company at the time, not Donald.
No sooner do articles appear about Trump making inroads with the black community then the NYT runs a hit piece on Trump. It's almost like they had it written and ready to go. Just in case.
It was "written and ready to go" - forty-some-odd years ago. I am old enough to remember when it ran the first time.
If Clinton's defense of a child molester is fair game, so is this.
That court case in the OP was settled, with no admission of wrongdoing. What speaks more accurately is his lawsuit to get the country club opened to blacks and jewis people in Palm beach.
I tried to bring this up a few weeks ago. Consensus was that Trump only did this for publicity for himself not because he was not racist.

Well, given that Trump has consistently done things for show and does little to follow up with concrete actions (like his pledge to donate proceeds to veterans, which only happened when he was publicly shamed into actually putting in the funds many weeks later) - there's a lot of validity to believe that.

Well he did follow through and his club was opened to both blacks and Jews.

That's a pretty hollow task given that very, very few people of any background are going to be able to afford and make use of the club. Hardly a "man of the people" and the argument that you want to use to a general population.

Seriously, is this all you have?
See you in November.
Are you saying Blacks and Jews cannot afford the club so it was all for show? Please clarify. At least Donald WANTED Jews and blacks as members. The Clintons belonged to a white person only club until it was outed and they were shamed into quitting in the 90's.

And yet despite that lovely, "magnanimous" gesture, the vast majority of African Americans and Jewish Americans are not voting for Trump. You think it has to do with a history of making remarks about these groups that were not respectful? Perhaps on a policy side? Oh wait! What's "policy" with Trump?
Like I said, you can believe all you want, say all you want, but Donald ain't getting it done with African Americans (and many other groups). His latest comments were really to assuade white, moderate Republicans that he's not as racist as they might think.
