It depends on who gets elected to the senate and the house, doesn't it? So how can you say with absolute certainty that nothing will change? Do you have a crystal ball?
There is a high likelihood of the Senate reverting back to the Democrats since they have only 10 seats to defend while Republicans have 24 seats.
But either way, Republicans won't have 60 votes for cloture.
Christine "I am not a witch" O'Donnell was a failed Senate candidate from Delaware. She defeated the favored Republican, Mike Castle in the 2010 primary, then lost in the general to Democrat Chris Coons.
True. But you left out the part about the cross-over dims who voted for Chris to throw out Mike. They knew that was the only way they could get him because they could never do it in the general election.
Wrong about what? Trump wanting a VP who has broader appeal? Guarantee he will lose to Hillary with an Alabama senator as VP which is why his campaign wouldn't even consider it. I can't imagine there being a state more disliked than Alabama, other than maybe Mississippi. Even among republicans. Trump has admitted that he is looking for someone who is more moderate as a VP.
I think all the speculation on The Donald's potential VP is interesting. How many folks figured the current WH moslem would pick Uncle Joe at this same point in that election? Speculation is fun ... but methinks whoever it is, hasn't been mentioned yet ... but I could be wrong.

Did you even read your own post?
Did you look at the link? I'm guessing the answer is "no". If you did, you would see that Sessions isn't alone.

So, same old, same old.
