Where have you been? This is a question for the 2008/2012 Obama voters. Trump voters are just Obama voters but without the "Historical" backdrop that can be used as an excuse when reality hits.
The only people that are "gullible" are the ones supporting the establishment candidates, the exception to that is Trump and Sanders. They support the same type of politician election cycle after election cycle, refuse to listen to reason, refuse to educate themselves and quite frankly, seem to lack commonsense. So many people today live in what they believe is a safe little bubble while the country slides into 3rd world status. If this isn't at your doorstep, it will be soon and if you don't support Trump, don't come crying here because I'll be here to remind you that you had a choice and chose to *********r own selves.

Given what I have learned about why so many think and vote the way they do, I am not sure Americans know how to judge what is better or worse, progress or not, in light of what status quo tends to deliver from one decade to the next. Americans will always feel we can do better as a country no matter what side of the fence you are on. Congress will not likely gain favor while we're still alive.
We can always generally do better and/or worse, but if Trump represents change for the better, and/or if no politician can be acceptable because they are part of the establishment, then put on your seat belt and lets see what happens to Trump if he were to go from outsider now to insider 4 years from now, as if we can't expect Trump or anyone else to end up with much better in the way of pleasing even most of the people.
I could be wrong, but it seems to me that no matter who we put in office, much if not most of America will not be satisfied, which leaves us with a "damned if we do and damned if we don't" scenario.
Trump's rise is a serious sign of dissatisfaction, but Trump as choice is certainly not a good sign for America, and should he become POTUS, lots of Americans and most the world at large will have good reason to think we have proved ourselves "ugly Americans" after all (stupid too)...

All the "coming out of the woodwork" reminds me a bit of the stock market when it is dealing with the great unknown, gyrations up and down, not really because anyone knows whether there is Hell about to break lose or not, but because investors, the status quo (and I think Americans in general) do not really want radical change, certainly not so much uncertainty -- great unknown.
For better or worse, that sort of change is in part what our founding fathers essentially prevented by way of another 535 people in Congress -- and that's just at the federal level...
I do appreciate what "shake up" to the establishment Trump is forcing, but really it is the GOP that is coming apart. You can bet all of us not caught up in the GOP whirlwind of disarray are going to do what we can not to let that cancer spread too much further.
Hell, the ACA was enough change to send the GOP into orbit, and that is about the biggest threat to the status quo we have allowed since I can remember!
Trump represents nothing but conservative Americans who are not happy and don't know what to do about it. I am not sure if I were a conservative I wouldn't choose Trump over Cruz and Rubio as well, but I am glad I am not needing to pick from that "axis of evil" either way.
Why don't we not only elect Trump as POTUS, but do away with Congress as well and make Trump King!
What short of that will really clear the house of the established status quo???

He used bait-and-switch tactics to lure the vulnerable into lofty promises pertaining to the Trump University debacle. He's doing the same with all the millions of vulnerable citizens he's convinced using the same type of tactics that he will Make America Great Again. How dumb can so many Americans be?
Also, something that doesn't seem to be stressed enough is that Trump made much of his fortune on preying on the most vulnerable in society ...casino gambling. Even Jesus said so:

Glenn beck has been insane, with 3 hour radio rants every day bitching about Trump, as well as his little network and the syncophants whose jobs depend on Glenn. He would rather have people vote for a canadian born citizen, (who pretends to be a constitutionalist, which would stop him for voting for himself!!) or an amnesty lover who can't even bother to show up for his votes in Florida now.

And only show part of the video which has been what they've been doing to this country for a long time, especially 60 minutes.
yeah, no matter what happens, people are becoming aware of just how corrupt this government has been and how it's been run by the establishment for way to long.
yanno, any more, before we go to any public outing, that charges money, restaurants, etc...it'd be nice to know what their political agenda is...including utility companies, and so forth.
I would also like to know, who owns what companies, and have invested in these companies and what other countries they are from.
