I have to say..I did not realize there was such difference in our democratic voting processes....
USA= open field..primaries/ multi field options..States chose who represent by primary process...
Canada= Party picks their leader of Party..thus is the Leader of THAT Party
USA= Down Ticket folks vote in primary-like ( voters vet and vote for reps) State wide voting to elect whomever will represent their Party
Canada= Party has caucus' to elect whomever they want to lead their Party affiliation ( course there's like over a dozen parties)
USA= Political media coverages of elections is non-stop..It's always about politics! Elections occurring Q-4-6 years depending on level and position..and State or Federal which explains why it's non-stop and Media driven coverages!!
Canada= Election Season lasts about 6 months total..Federally...Provincial..it's only about 3 months total...Thus Canadians are not so caught up with day to day rhetoric,,They decide on platform..Performance of their incumbent and vote accordingly..No Drama..LOL
It's amazing..that as a Canadian..due to your process..I learn more about your incumbents and challengers ..with literally years of exposure of interviews/video's and record ..So So different....
Every single Republican I know (the vast majority of my acquiantances and family) would rather vote for Hillary or an independent than vote Trump.
Ditto for all the hardcore Republicans that I know . . . . as in the 24/7 Fox News type of folks. i don't think they'd vote for Hillary, but they would happily stay at home or vote for the establishment conservative candidate.
Kasich won Ohio. This means that the GOP nominee is up for grabs and not a fait accomplis.
There is now at least a 50/50 chance of a brokered convention. Trump just may not be the GOP nominee. Definitely will be an interesting lead-up to the convention. Trump will act as if he's the candidate and then they'll pull a Julius Caesar at the convention..
Trump lost Ohio. Democrats switched parties just to vote against him. Welcome to politics, Donnie. You aren't what you thought you were.
There is a GOOD chance a brokered convention is coming and Donnie is going to feel the full power of the GOP powers-that-be telling him to take his circus back to reality TV.

His Ohio victory spared him a Rubio-style embarrassment, but it's hardly something to brag about. It is so predictable.
Trump vs Hillary. Like it or not.
