I wonder if he was yelling; he often raises his voice for some odd reason like he was scolding a child. The only reason I can think that he does it is because his listeners like it; otherwise, people would have tuned out long ago. At least he doesn't sound all whiny like when Mark Levin yells or go over-board trying to be the alpha-dog like O'Reilly.
The problem with Savage is that he might have a shred of decency in him. It's like a flower that wants to bloom; and when it does, Savage will go all hippy on is. He won't go fully commie-hippy, as he'll write some books about how the Right is all evil and crap to cash in on his new found hippyness.
This is why Rush was, is, and will always be the best. Rush is the same rotten blowhard today as he was yesterday, and you know he'll be the same guy tomorrow. "Rotten Blowhard" will be on Rush's gravestone.
