Your vote will mean nothing at the RNC. The establishment will decide what is best for you. The RNC will make up new rules as they go along so that they can choose the candidate.

Quote:
Most people think that the last convention's rules are the default – that the 2012 rules are in effect until the 2016 committee changes them – but that is not the case. The Rules Committee doesn't get to pick and choose from among the previous rules; it has to come up with a complete package from scratch every four years. "The 115th Congress cannot operate until it first passes a rules package, and we're the same way," Spicer says. Each convention passes its own new set of rules, and they can be similar to prior ones – or they can be vastly different. It depends on what the delegates want.

Going out in the cold winter weather to vote was for nothing!

It probably feels kind of like how the Democrats feel about the super delegates taking away their votes.

However, if Trump get 1237, the people's vote will count. Even if he doesn't get the 1237, Trump has put together a pretty good team to make sure he gets the nomination at the convention.

If you voted for the moron, you deserve to have your vote taken away.

IMO, the RNC has already picked their candidate and will write the new rules so that only their pick will qualify. (I am betting they have chosen Kasich.)

What it says to me is that the process is working the way it was set up to work. It is a perfect example of corruption on display. How those with money and power make the rules to keep those with money and power in control. It's not a democracy that should go unchallenged. It resembles more a democracy set up to be undermined by rules.

Interesting reading by Larry Jay Diamond who is a political sociologist and leading contemporary scholar in the field of democracy studies.
Diamond believes democracy must improve where it already exists before it can spread to other countries. He believes solving a country’s governance, rather than its economy, is the answer. Every democratic country needs to be held responsible for good governance, not just when it suits them. Without significant improvements in governance, economic growth will not be sustainable. As Diamond stated in his book, The Spirit of Democracy: The Struggle to Build Free Societies Throughout the World, “for democratic structures to endure – and be worthy of endurance – they must listen to their citizens’ voices, engage their participation, tolerate their protests, protect their freedoms, and respond to their needs.

Rules made to usurp the voice of the people is counter to their needs. There can be no accountability when those who make the rules can change them to suit there needs contrary to the voice of the people.

It might be hard for you to understand but not all Republicans and or conservatives are upset about this. If a candidate has the required number of delegates to get the nomination on the first ballot he will. If not, we will see a fight to the better end, which is ok. Many realize what is best for us, an a country may not be what some of the voters think is best. My guess, also is, many of the Trump delegates, now wish they were not bound to him from the start. At this stage I would bet if Trump doesn't win it on the first ballot the nomination will go to Kasich or someone who was not in the running to begin with.

In other words, you support an oligarchy, not a democracy. Got it!

You are so disgusted with your party (and I can't blame you) you are voting for Bernie Sanders?
