A little of both, I suspect.

He seems like a bit of a letch, but his viewpoints are very clear and at least one can respect that. On the other hand, I think many are hoping for either a brokered convention (and someone other than Trump or Cruz emerging) or to stop Trump.

Do people actually like Cruz?....

Unless you are a religious extremist looking to eliminate civil rights for all but a few and push the USA back to the society of the 1950s, or a bankster, or a wall streeter, or a prostitute, or in the oil business, then I'd say No.

There is nothing to like about Cruz.

As a raving, heathen Socialist, I'm happy about his victory in Wisconsin. May there be more! Ultimately, the sensible centrists who vote in the General Election won't touch a stink-bomb like Cruz, who might as well be Palin in man-clothes.
It's quite telling that the regular posters here are silent on Bernie's win last night.
I'm not silent about Bernie's win for nefarious reasons. I'm just not interested in the Democrat race.

As far as Sanctimonious Phony-Boloney Lying Lawyer Turd Cruz goes, I wouldn't vote for him if he was running against Bashar al-assad.

I did wonder last night if he knows he's a patsy and the GOP Establishment is only using him to try to stop Trump. I don't think he gets nominated in a contested convention any more than Trump does, he's just there to stop Trump from winning on the first ballot. After that, I think they go with "neither of the above" if they are going to go with the uproar of not going with the person with the most delegates.

I think that's the GOP's gamble. But Cruz is smart enough to know that and has already been promised the VP slot in exchange for being the fall guy. That is, if he isn't blinded by his own own massive ego.

Cruz is the last person in America who should be President. He s just disgustingly awful. I don't think he'll get the nomination in the end, anyway, but just the fact that he's even in the running just shows that state of the modern-day GOP..

We can only hope that's what they do.

From the glossary of political terms ....

Cruzite - a soft, hollow, pumice-like rock that tends to be full of holes. Cruzite crumbles easily under the slightest pressure and
changes colors rapidly with any variation in external influences such as wind direction or extreme heat.

I live in Westchester County, NY and have not met one person yet who likes Ted Cruz or willing to vote for him. Many people who live here work in NYC so the "NY Values" comment along with his ultra religious views probably do not help. Besides, the man is just CREEPY.
