There's so much crazy in that statement but I'll just leave it at this: there's not a scintilla of evidence that your hero Trump would agree with it..

Trump is brilliant because he has all the conservatives snowed. A republican can't win the nomination unless they are a conservative. And a conservative can't win the general election. Trump is not a conservative.

If this is really about Trump, they'd make a movie about a raccoon living in Hitler's hair.

In the world of the Politically Correct who seek to dominate the "entertainment" industry, no shot is too cheap if it suits their arbitrary, and Fascistic criteria.

Also, Lou Cannon was and still is a big supporter of Reagan but he never shied away from writing about Reagan's negatives

Anyway, I think Gerlad Ford sums it up best:

“A superficial, disengaged, intellectually-lazy showman who didn’t do his homework and clung to a naive, unrealistic, and essentially dangerous worldview. Foreign leaders have said they were appalled by Reagan’s lack of knowledge of the issues.” - President Gerald R. Ford speaking about President Ronald Reagan
Did any foreign leaders could bring down the Berlin Wall? You may want to replace Reagan for Obama in the same sentence and it's probably correct, the lack of knowledge part.

I think the Soviet Unions collapse and loss of control over the Eastern bloc had a lot to do with that. He was there after the fact, but the fall of the wall was more than St. Reagan riding in on a white horse. Give some credit where it's due, Eastern Europeans fought hard to bring it down.

Also, Obama is held as a good representative by most foreign leaders.

There are a few exceptions such as the Poles, Czechs and the Baltic nations, but too many Europeans, and a lot of the Third Word are resentful of Americans' success (due to our stronger capitalist ethic) and merely want to see us brought back down to the same level of pettiness and deceit that spawned a two-act World War and filled about a hundred million new graves.

It was the resolve of the conservatives vilified here every day -- conservatives on both sides of the Atlantic -- that finally brought down the last of the great butcher-states that rose out of Europe's gutters between 1917 and 1933. Ronald Reagan merely finished the job, with the so-called "foreign leaders", and their Leftist allies fighting him every step of the way.

This is a selective memory you're having. The Eastern Blocs revolt was not the exception, the refugee crisis that Eastern Germany brought on itself and collapse of the Soviet Union were the catalysts among many other localized events.

Reagan was involved due to our interests at stake, like any other president.

How you've managed to turn world events so US-centric is commendable but unfair to the people on the ground.

The whole they hate us cause we're free thing, I didn't know people still thought that.
