I think it would be a little bit of both. It will be interesting to see what the give and take will look like.

Neither. They'll just end up hating each other.

Trump should conform to GOP values of LIMITED GOVERNMENT, personal liberty, RESPONSIBLE SPENDING, and free market economic principles. If not than he can't run under the party's banner.

I agree give and take will be needed by both but the party needs to moderate in from that far right hand edge, their about to fall off......

Trump IS far right ... he's just not a social conservative. Deporting entire ethnic groups, stripping people of citizenship, banning an entire religion, state control of the press, and wanton slaughter of innocents for merely being related to a suspected terrorist are far right wetdreams.

Trump is getting the nomination because of his refusal to conform to what the establishment is pushing which has really not been inline with traditional Republican views of late. The party needs to get back to the basics. I believe Trump is the man to help us do that.

Uh, the party leadership has given obama everything he wants. They are far from right. But your name calling and failure to recognize reality is duly noted.

I can't believe I'm writing this, but I agree with Enigma777 and for the reason Enigma stated. I'm an independent, but I think McConnell is a useless RINO. I don't think Trump shouldn't kowtow to McConnell for various reasons. I don't like Trump, but if he does get elected (I don't think he will) I can't say that I wouldn't be happy at how upset some progressives would be over that result. If he does get elected, I think he will be the last Republican POTUS ever elected thanks to the creeping success of identity politics practiced by the Democrats.

Re Enigma's link, only one thing jumps right out that I disagree with....Peter Wehner saying that Paul Ryan has dedicated his public life to limited government. IMO, he lost much of the credibility that validates that statement when he 'crammed the 'Cromnibus' bill down our throats' as Speaker.
