I know. What happened to the idea that an armed crowd is a polite one?

To be fair, the RNC probably has no control over this, it's probably the venue's insurance company that prohibits guns.

Well you are right, sort of. The Secret Service put an end to the idea and is prohibiting everyone from having a gun at the convention, except themselves.

You can turn on ESPN on TV and see that any day. I just can't think of anything more boring for a lot of the women.

When Trump originally said "celebrities," I foolishly thought he meant general purpose celebrities like comedians, movie stars, etc. Not sports figures.

Republicans are flip floppers. They were for the 2nd Amendment and then they are against it.

A note of contrast on the conventions : It's the democrats that are building a wall around theirs and the Rep. who are relying on armed police for protection. This is the strangest election ever. I love it Tarring people down and building up walls. All the while liberals say the want to build bridges. No evidence of that. ALL TALK , NO ACTION

Kid asks : Who is that Jee Jaa Jaa awaaaaaaaay. Who is that masked woman on the white horse with silver bullets killing vampires. Stupid boy just shut-up. Herman Cain says to the boy Romney.

Trump can't pay politicians to stand on the convention stage and praise him so he'll pay sell-out sports stars and celebrities... if he can find any besides Nugent. An infomercial with paid celebrity endorsements.

Go to a convention (any convention)?
No way, mobs like that are a great place to catch all kinds of diseases.
Go to Cleveland?
No way, I haven't been East of the Mississippi in years, and don't intend to go.
Sports figures on stage? Not interested.
Politicians on stage? Even less interested
Vote for Trump? Probably. No way in hell will I ever vote for hillary!

Both conventions, like past conventions, will have security fences.

Trump already has a woman problem and I know, as a woman, I wouldn't be too excited to listen to a bunch of sports guys talk all night. I could care less about the Ultimate Fighting Championship president. Ditto with Nascar people and football players.

What do you think? Would you want to go to this?
This is a fantastic idea! And there could be ring girls in bikinis--who, of course, Donald will personally inspect to ensure they are all 10s--who could announce each new speaker by walking back and forth across the stage holding a placard with their name on it. Brilliant!

Anyone who doesn't admit now that Trump is treating the presidency as a reality show is lying to themselves.
