Texas Mormons won't vote for Trump either. They'll vote Libertarian or stay home. I don't know that there are enough of them here to be a factor but it brings to mind Mormon-heavy Idaho.
Cruz beat Trump badly in Idaho and it's not hard to imagine Idaho Mormons denying the GOP a win in the general.

I was wondering about that. Do the polls include Johnson? Do you have a link? Because I couldn't find a poll that does.

Even worse...Johnson & Weld are not going to get enough votes to tap down Trump's support. Even forgetting that Bill Weld is a falling down drunk. Drunk as in currently, not reformed.

For Idaho, do you have anything at all, like an actual poll, to back that up?

I thought not.

Idaho weekly politics poll from late April shows Trump up 49-32. It's easy enough to find. Google it

The poll was done by Dan Jones & Associates.

Late April? Johnson wasn't even nominated until the end of May so I didn't expect any results but I gave it a go.

I got nada.
If you have a Trump-Johnson poll in Idaho, just post the link already. If Trump IS leading Johnson by 49-32 (among Republicans?) as you claim then that supports my speculation that Trump is in big trouble in Idaho. Are 19% of Idaho Republicans undecided this late in the game? That's even bigger trouble. I'd really love to see some polling.

That's the only current poll, but logic alone should tell you that Trump is going to win Idaho with ease. The last Republican to lose Idaho was in 1964. An independent ticket will make zero difference IMO. That 49-32 number was against Hillary BTW, statewide, not with just Republicans. There's nothing on Johnson & Weld vs Trump currently. They might get 2% is my guess. You do know that Johnson got 1.4% when he ran for president in 2012 in Idaho, right ?
