The Clinton campaign elite that partied at the convention tends to live and operate in the rarefied world of the east and west coasts of the US. They don't spend a lot of time in the small towns of Ohio, Pennsylvania and Virginia that will decide this election.
These are towns where a lot of people hate Hillary Clinton, really, really hate her. They may be underestimating the strength of that antipathy.
They aren't too confident if they have found a viable way to cheat. Not that those associated with Clinton would ever cheat!
Actually, I believe that is exactly where their confidence originates, because this election has also been proven to be rigged by the DNC, and everyone knows America is CORPORATE OWNED AND RUN and Clinton is their CORPORATE HO!

Boy does working-class America ever hate Clinton......with a passion!
Clinton only needs to carry the urban areas of those states, which she has, to carry the state. The biggest issue the Democrats face this round is enthusiasm. Donald Trump may not be popular with a majority of the country, but those who support him do so passionately. Energy can swing elections as we saw in 2008 and this year with Bernie Sanders giving Hillary a run for her money (Bernie would have won if the system wouldn't have been rigged). Democrats need to be able to drive people to the polls in November. Trump could win if left-leaning independents, who aren't satisfied with either candidate, stay home.
Both sides are blazing away with their best ammunition.
That could be a mistake at this point.
The reason it could be a mistake is, if there is a sudden and large endorsement of Johnson it would be awkward to try to pin the same titles on a third party.
i.e., today Obama announced that Trump is unfit to be president. Would he announce the same thing about Johnson?
But the Johnson people and his silent backers (if they exist) would know that.
