WRONG!!!

The first $5.43 million of a single person's estate is exempt from estate tax.

If you have a decent house in certain parts of California and you have saved for retirement you can and will be subject to estate tax.

You're right. This figure includes everything, so it can be reached quite easily if you own a farm, business, real estate, etc. It includes your life insurance policy as well.

Exactly. My parents had their home, savings, insurance and a rental property. It all adds up if you are a hard worker and thrifty on top of that. You do not have to be a Clinton or Trump to be hit with the death tax, you can be, as you stated, a farmer.

Once again, people will believe anything, no matter out far fetched, when it appears to validate their perceptions.
Typical. They believe things printed in the same publications that have stories on Bat Boy, if it supports their preconceived beliefs. As you noted, critical reading skills are not one of their strengths.

From the link you posted, that of course they neglected to read, since reading, you know, is so much elitist!

But why? If its income to someone who has over $5.43 million and taxed, then it should also be taxed at $100K..

Income is income period.. its not income for one person, but not another.

The reason of course is because if the mass of society actually had to live with what they legislate on the rest, they'd never support the garbage they support to begin with..
