Not that it came as any surprise there. Of course the official reason is that he is resigning to let the staff grow organically.

Default Paul Manafort resigns

Robert Costa of the Washington Post reports on Twitter that Manafort has taken the less than subtle hint, and resigned. I would think that all of the questions his presence raised over the Russian connections was a reason he was pushed out, in addition to Trump refusing to follow his advice.

He was fired on Sunday when Trump made the call. This was just a graceful way to go about it is all.

He was a bad match from day 1. Remember when he went to Florida and said don't believe what Trump says in public?

It's sad to see him leave the clown car. It was fun while it lasted!

Too bad, someone said Manafort is the only pro in the Trump campaign. Turns out he is pro-Russian Ukraine.

Yeah, that is clearly the reason they want distance between them. If this story keeps getting worse then the Trump team will take a lot of heat. Of course the damage is already done for poorly vetting him. The Dems are going to have a field day with this one.

Oh well, there goes the Russian connection. Looks like Trump does not want his campaign to be aligned with any sort of corruption.. Foreign concept for some others... Well I guess when the actual candidate is the corrupt one it is hard to "run away" from it.

Trump campaign is a traveling clown circus masquerading as a legitimate presidential campaign. Manafort was the only pro on that entire staff and now even he finally saw the light and bolted. Good for him.
