Collectively, his words and his actions are a huge testament to his character, that of uncontrollable entitlement, misogyny and a sexual assault apologist. This is not acceptable behavior for anyone, much less a presidential candidate. I realize that in the situation I may be but a tiny grain of sand, but clearly this is an enormous speech. I am not looking for monetary compensation. I do not need additional fame or the type of attention that this is sure to bring. I understand that I may be called a liar or an opportunist, but I will risk that in order to stand in solidarity with women who share similar accounts that span many, many years."
One, the stories of some of these women are believable, to me, based on: Donald John Trump's remarks to Howard Stern over the years; the fact that he cheated on his first wife (and Don Jr. didn't speak to his father for a year afterwards); and his Billy Bush comments. His subsequent comments (Look at her!, etc) have not instilled confidence in his total innocence.
However, that said, I do have some distrust of this attorney, Gloria Allred, whom has evolved into a person that tries cases at press conferences (which she loves, obviously). It seems a little too pat that some of these women are coming to her to disclose their story (although I guess she is rather famous among female attorneys).
Why Do Some People Assert Trump's Innocence Regarding the Sex Claims?
I have no idea if Donald Trump is guilty of anything that is alleged, and I'm skeptical that anyone here has any actual knowledge, either. So how is it that so many people here seem to know with certainty that Trump is innocent regarding all of the accusations? At a minimum, wouldn't a position of uncertainty be required?
If you don't know X, you shouldn't assert X. If you don't know Trump is innocent, then you should assert "Trump is innocent." The corollary is also true: if you don't know Trump is guilty, you shouldn't assert that he is.
Because some are not going to be lectured on by people who excused ACTUAL acts of sex by the PRESIDENT in the OVAL OFFICE. Trump was none of the above. How are any of these accusations going to stop him from building the wall he has promised? I might reconsider voting for him if you can answer the question.
