The most important step in the process of becoming an American is signing up for EBT and Medicaid.

No problem with brown people or any other color of people coming here legally just as long as non-browns in the same numbers get to do the same. It is illegal immigration we object to, brown or not. Nice try but no cigar.

Every person who's not a continental native is a child of immigrants. How long our ancestors have lived here is only a matter of blind chance that none of us had anything to do with.

So 'time in' counts for nothing. What matters, and the only thing that matters, is we are American. Through our birth or by our conscious choice.

Personally, I admire the person who risked all to come here and take his chances in a new land that's largely unknown to him and little understood. And stays. And becomes a new citizen.

Me too.

Indeed. Welcome home the brave, and make them free.

Criminals and lawbreakers have guts and that's a trait you admire in them?

You're correct. We are no longer a nation of immigrants but a nation of citizens. Our citizen population way outnumbers our immigrant one and has for a long time. When do we get to shed that stupid label and just be a nation of American aka U.S. citizens?

What's kind of silly is that most of our illegal immigrants come over the southern border. The entire North, Central and South America are mostly not inhabited by Native Americans. And even if they were, those Native Americans are tied to their land, not the land of any place in the Western Hemisphere. So what's the logic here? I am not given the right to go into any country in the Western Hemisphere and decide I have the right to stay, live and work as long as I please or those who disagree are racist and cruel. Why should people from south of the border be given that right and not me?

Both became citizens, so, yeah, they were. What's your point, if you have one?

Hillary has no respect for legal immigrants who go through the legal immigration process to come here. Immigration is a privilege, not a right. Trump was right when he mentioned how long the legal immigration process is yet we forgive those who break the law and reward them with amnesty. The sob story given by Hillary is that deportation is breaking apart families, when nothing prevents the families from reuniting back in the native country of the parents (if the child is born in the U.S.) Just mindless nonsense all around.

You're right and she keeps bragging that everything she does is for this country and its citizens. How does amnesty help the American worker? Any candidate who supports the non-enforcement of our laws will never get my vote.
