Yes, I'm absolutely serious. Legitimacy of the valuation of the stock market it its own debate, but rightly or wrongly, the consensus amongst the investment-community, is that at Trump administration would be bad for business.

People note the recent history with Brexit, pointing out the sharp panic-drop in the market over two days, and the equally sharp recovery. Much ado about nothing? Maybe. But look at what happened to the British Pound. This wasn't a mere emotional spasm, or petulant overreaction. This was a serious and pervasive destruction of value. I fear that the same thing will happen to the stock market - in the US, and worldwide - first immediately upon a Trump victory, and then more substantially if Trump takes office.

It's going to crash no matter who takes office. It has been flat for years now.

It's propped up with easy money from low interest rates. That can't last forever. Even at the mere mention of the FED raising the rates there is immediate volatility.

The funny thing is the Fed should have raised rates years ago but to make sure Obama has some kind of favorable legacy the rates are kept the same and the charade continues. Hillary can't keep the charade up and she knows it, so the next downswing is on the way... but not until the election is over with.

If you put new money in the SP500 Aug 2015, you basically lost money except for the dividend.

Lol this thread is not a good indication of enthusiasm for Hillary. "She's not Trump!" Is about it LOL.

This sounds eerily familuar to Romney's stump "well he's not Obama" and we know how that turned out. Millions stayed home because the the base wasn't energized. The Democrats lost their enthusiasm in their base when they stiffed Bernie (500 superdelegates and DWS).

On the other hand, Trump has now hijacked the republican party and the base is in absolute love with him!

The fact that we did not jettison our democracy to install an unqualified authoritarian maniac.

Hillary is hardly the best candidate but she at least has the knowledge and experience to keep the government on an even keel.

I'v been expecting it to crash any time now. I believe it will tank no matter who is elected, it is just being propped up for the time being.

That's basically her ace up her sleeve. She's playing the woman card. The world thinks it will somehow be a better place if the United States gives a black guy a shot, then the woman a shot. Women aren't going to be any better off after 4 or 8 years of Hillary just like black people aren't after 8 years of Obama.

If she wins, we can look forward to:

1. Her never ending cackle that reminds me of a witch riding on the back of a broomstick
2. Her relentless attacking of every servant, secret service, and gardener in the White House.
3. Her quest to have the biggest mouth, and be the most annoying blowhard ever.
4. Her wrinkled, boney hands, being held out for bribes.
