Maybe the OP is referring to his neighbor Nate Silver, who is a big time Trump supporter that is calling Florida for Trump, and not the famous Nate Silver that is amazing at figuring out election odds.
I expect the OP to go back calling Nate Silver a Shill and bought off liberal, any minute now.....
Well ... let's see ... Donald Trump is The Orange One.
Florida produces the most and best oranges in the US. So I see a connection here.
Sorry, California (and Texas and Arizona for that matter), but the Indian River region of Florida has the very best soil, climate and growing conditions for many types of citrus. Florida Indian River fruit is tops in the world. The state flower is the Orange Blossom.
Just checked Nate Silver's website and he says Hillary's chance of winning is 53.6%
If in fact The Sunshine State goes to Donald in the end, I confess I wouldn't be surprised because I always felt Florida, so far, leans Republican. Hillary has many paths to victory without Florida. Donald needs Florida. Hillary does not need Florida.
Yes. I've lived in Florida for the better part of 22 years (I travel) and it is very conservative, although the demographics have been changing for years. So you're right about 53.6% not being a shoo-in for Hillary. It's a very tight race. I keep mixing up the "chances of winning" with the poll numbers. The 2 candidates are only 1 or 2 points apart in FL. One poll shows they're tied. However, on FiveThirtyEight her chances of winning the election just went over 70% and many polls show she is leading nationally by 3 or 4 points so, as you wrote, she doesn't need to win Florida.

Reason: fix spelling
Trump has surpassed Romney 2012 by 180,000 in early voting in Florida...
There is no way to know which candidate the early voting Republicans cast their ballots for...
Assuming it is Trump is just that---an assumption or guess...
They could all have left the top place blank and just voted for Rubio---or not...
Just because Republicans are voting in larger numbers than they did at this time in 2012 has other factors than Trump's candidacy...more people moved to the state and registered to vote--which has happened since 2012..
Maybe they hate Trump, and are voting against him...
I am in Florida right now...and my neighborhood is showing fewer Trump signs up than it had up when Romney was running or McCain...
Maybe they are too embarrassed to show they are voting for a racist idiot...but there are fewer signs...
President Obama won all of the major Metropolitan areas in Florida in both 2008 & 2012 except for Jacksonville which is a Conservative city run by Southern Baptists.
No wonder the city / metro is stagnant compared to the rest of the state.
I predict she will carry the same densely populated counties tomorrow & along with the I-4 corridor & the Hispanic early voting surge she will win Florida by 2-3 percentage points over Trump.
Of course we should come back to this thread in 24 hours to see if I'm right !
Is this thread serious? OP doesn't even provide any kind of link and five thirty eight gives an edge to Hillary to win Florida...Trump supporters will literally believe anything they type I guess
The democrats seems to have this man very high in regard. So we must believe he is correct.
Ferdinand,
Do you lie to your real estate clients as often as you lie on this board? If so, does Coldwell Banker know about this?
You're either delusional or a troll.
