The problem with your scenario, is Sanders wouldnt have pulled those who voted for Clinton, just because they wanted to see a female vote.. He also, wouldnt have been so underhanded, and had the media in his pocket to start the bs stories that Clinton pushed as a narrative, which so many, clearly fell for..
He would. He crushed Trump in working class states like Michigan and Wisconsin by around 15-20 points according to polls, far higher than Clinton!
He not only carried the minorities, naturally, but also a huge chunk of the white working class, because he is beholden to no one but the 99%. Breaking up the big Wall Street banks that crashed the economy is definitely supported by the white working class.

Well we found out that he was beholden to Clinton. Wikileaks released e-mails that say they had "leverage" over him that they used to reign in some of his criticism of her.
