Trump won the entire South except Virginia, which is Tim Kaine's home state. Any comments on this, except that the south tends to be conservative? I thought Georgia usually votes Demo. And I think Florida has voted Demo every time since 1992.

Regarding the polls being wrong - perhaps the polltakers polled people in big cities too much, hence they thought Hillary was going to win. But poll companies are supposed to know this stuff. Has somebody compiled what the polls were saying right before Election Day? How many said Trump was going to win?

Last thought: Trump won Iowa, which is funny since it tends to be blue. Mike Dukakis won Iowa, even.
It didn't matter as Hillary was meant to lose due to her own character issues of lying, deceiving and bad judgment.

Wrong candidate!

Hillary lost the last 3 elections and will lose another one if she keeps running.

She did not win plainly because she was a bad candidate with the heavy baggage of a bad record.

That was flat out the largest reason.

I thought Hillary was brilliant to spend more time in California than she spent in Wisconsin --- In California she could rack up the mega donors and sell influence, she couldn't do that in Wisconsin, plus look at that popular vote!

Correct.

Rural America came out in support of the 2nd Amendment.

Ted Cruz would have lost. So would have Rubio.

Still don't understand the meaning of representative democracy or federalism, eh?

Probably. Like I always say, non-technology defeats technology every time.

"You can't take the voters for granted because they'll stay home," said Roberts, who used to work as an auto mechanic.

That is just what happened here, according to exit polls taken on November 8. Stop anyone in this part of town, where there is not a white person in sight, and they will tell you as much.

"I feel that she is no better than Trump. That's why I didn't vote," said Brittany Mays, a young woman who works in a beauty salon.

This thread seems to be saying Hillary didn't campaign enough in certain states, but she campaigned a lot in Florida, but she still lost it.

Anti-Trump protestors stated they didn't vote at all. It's absurd, to complain that much about Trump and they didn't even bother to vote. And now, most of the cast members of Hamilton didn't vote.

One more thing: younger voters tended to like Obama. But Hillary is 69 so maybe it cut into the younger vote.
