What on earth do you mean?

Every state has a process and criteria to use for redistricting. The idea would be to have an objective standard for determining whether a particular district has been gerrymandered or is fair.

Right now, all we have is some version of "I know it when I see it", which is not a bit helpful.

I see I've been merged, I didn't see the older thread.

However, I don't like the older thread's title, because gerrymandering is not restricted to Rs. I'd like to make it plain that I DON'T CARE which party does it. It's wrong, because it violates one person/one vote.

Depends on the state you're in whether it's a liberal or a conservative complaining about gerrymandering.

And the "whining" could end if we had an objective standard that could be applied across the board.
