The NC GOP are a bunch of sore losers. Why else are they trying to steal away more options for the new Governor?
Why else are they not trying to hard to get rid of HB2?
Power is what they are about, the GOP makes a lot of bad policy and when it backfires they have to waste the time to correct it. This weeks special session showed how bad they really are. Aside from the funding needed for the state problems, in both east and west, they had to put through bills so as to not be beat on during the new elections next year(2017).
Where is the outrage about the sore losers in NC? The Republican Governor there was slow to concede the election and now he and his party have brazenly taken away much of the governor's power just in time for the incoming Democrat Governor. The GOP dominated legislature ostensibly held a "special unplanned" session this past week to approve disaster relief for Hurricane Matthew victims. After quickly taking care of that, they got down to the real intent of the session - limiting the power of the incoming opposition party governor. Outgoing Republican Gov. Pat McCrory has begun to quickly sign the bills into law.
so the repub legislature is doing exactly what the dem legislature did in the 1984/5 against Gov. Martin

Indeed. Just like crazy Harry's nuclear option and budget reconciliation for ppaca. Dems are much like the kid who ignores the advice to quit playing, go inside and relieve himself. Only to wind up pissing in his pants.
