Now I recall reading that the donations went in overnight in regular pattern, something like $16000 or $160,000 (? forgot the figure) every hour and was likely from Clinton-bots. If that's true, then much of it was Clinton's money, but doesn't exclude many dumb supporters and probably big donors like Soros, Zuckerberg, Gates as well.

Maybe that is how she got most of it, but why would those high rollers want to invest anything in Jill Stein she is useless to them. She just took advantage of people while they were upset on losing the election. I lost all respect for her and Clinton. I don't know why Clinton wanted to put money in Stein's pocket. They knew a judge was going to throw it out she had zero proof.
Wonder whose bank account did the $7 million go? Can Stein snatch the money for her personal use? Does the Green Party have a way to prevent that?
The money went to a group that works for election integrity and reform. The funds were raised for the specific purpose of the recounts, but the fine print in the solicitation info stated that any money not used for that purpose - they didn't even know if the recounts would be allowed at the time - would be used in other ways toward that same goal.
Although it's feasible to assume that some of the money will be used to cover her expenses, she can't legally or ethically take it for her personal use.
This organization isn't affiliated with the Green Party beyond the involvement of their Presidential candidate. They have no say in the matter.
Where's Cruz?
Where's Rubio?
Where's Kasich?
Where's Clinton?
Where's Fiorina?
The list can go on, and on.
They are done, the election is over.
For that matter, where's Palin?
She closed SarahPAC officially at the end of 2016, and gets to keep all that money.
SarahPAC has millions still left in it, but only $38,000 of it went out to candidates in 2016.
Every dog has its day. Losers don't always lose penniless, if they set it up right in the beginning.
Scott Walker didn't, and he had millions in his war chest he couldn't use.
He was the early front-runner going into 2016, but his PAC screw-up forced him to use his other funding, which evaporated fast and forced him to drop out so early.
Walker and Palin's early Trump endorsements were suck-up attempts to get some reward if he was elected, but neither got as far in that as Christie did. But they didn't get burned as badly as Christie. There's an object lesson there someplace, I think.
Trump's construction contractors coulda told them Trump would promise them the moon but stiff them in the end. Not that they would have listened. Now we get to watch Trump chump the rest of us.
Now she's quiet, hoping people will forget the $7 millions she's holding now.
She's now living the good life thanks to her scam
