This is bad, bad, BAD news for Republicans ahead of next year's midterm election. Donald Trump is the gift that keeps on giving!
Well, as always, Leftist rags will try to paint a picture that isn't necessarily reflective of reality, just as they did in the 2016 Presidential election, in which they all said there was no way that Trump would become President.

But I'd rather the Republicans be a little nervous than to be too comfortable, lest they should rest on their laurels.

Ron Estes' campaign issues mirror those of Trump's campaign, and that is what Americans voted for in November. Additionally, Kansas is solidly red.

We'll see.

Estes has more money than his closest Democrat rival at the moment. Campaigns cost money because advertising and air-time cost money. There's no way around that.

Exactly. They were not only wrong, they were horribly wrong.

Really guys? This seat is soooooooo safe that they need Mike Pence to do a robocall to help Estes?

Pence joins effort to save 'safe' GOP seat from the Democrats | Washington Examiner

Vice President Mike Pence is recording a robocall for the Republican nominee in Tuesday's special House election in Kansas, a clear sign of concern that the Democrats could flip this solid GOP seat.

Sources told the Washington Examiner on Friday that Pence would record a call urging Republicans in Kansas' Wichita-area 4th district to get out and vote for state Treasurer Ron Estes, who is locked in a tight battle with Democrat James Thompson.
Sounds like Estes is in deep doodoo ... and the party knows it.

Being a "safe" seat doesn't mean you can just sit back and ignore the opposition party's play for that seat. You do so at your peril -- just ask Hillary and the DNC re: ignoring pleas for reinforcement in "safe" states like PA and MI. Bringing in Pence is a cost-effective way to repel the ambush.

Meantime, realize that this garbage story comes from likes of Politico and Daily Kos.
Yeah because conservatism really worked well for Govenor Brownback's "tax cutting trickle down economics"....

Conservatives are the real idiot ones here who are so full of ideology but nothing of substance.

having worked for the Democratic Party at state level, I can tell you that the quality of the candidate has nothing to do with whether or not they get money. Its all about winnable races.

If the race isnt deemed winnable, then it doesnt make the list of districts the party will spend money.

Hillary, like many of you here, thought Michigan and Wisconsin were so safe she didn't even bother to campaign there.

Yeah, but didn't Hillary win? The polls said she had it wrapped up.

Few people understand KS, Brownback gets a lot of flack from outside the state mostly due to right to life for all including babies and 2nd Amendment rights which most Kansans hold dear.

As you know the liberals constantly try to twist and turn anything conservative over their conniption over the morally, mentally and physically incompetent Hillary Clinton being defeated. In their dreams, they still fantasize about Hillary rising from the politically dead.

From the Topeka Journal: Kansas GOP nominates Ron Estes for U.S. House seat | The Topeka Capital-Journal Looks like it is just politicians knowing what it takes to assure a win, maybe they learned something from old Hillary! "While you were sleeping................"

Default Ruh Roh! GOP fights for its life in deep red Kansas

What is going on here? How could the Democrats be doing so well in Koch country? Call it the Trump effect and be expecting to see a lot more where this came from in 2018 and beyond.
