Are the Dems picking random celebrities out of a hat? Other week it was the Rock. Now its Oprah. Is Steven Colbert next week?

^At this point, that makes about as much sense as who we have in charge now.

Why are conservatives uncomfortable with Oprah?

She worked very hard and became successful. Isn't that what conservative Americans want everyone to do?

The Rock is registered Independant, has shown sympathy to both parties, and been courted by both parties.

So don't mock him yet. Republicans may find themselves voting for him.

Personally, as much as I dislike politicians, I think only politicians are suited to the job.

Well, she said all racists are white and must die. So between telling racist Republicans that they must die and implying that only whites can be racist, I am sure she turned off a lot of the Republican base.

Them turning on Oprah and being nasty to her would not be a pretty sight, be it dems or repubs doing it. Plus she hasn't shown to be the most politically astute person in thr world. She's nice but also very naïve and gullible.
Then too, they probably have dirt on her and told her to just stay out of it. Or else. One thing we've learned is that outsiders are NOT welcome in DC.

In another news story of equal value, my cat Hobbes will not run for Democrat Nominee for President in 2020.

Like anyone seriously believes that Oprah would run for President
