Really now?

From The Hill -

"As Democrats survey the political landscape and focus on rebuilding the party after the disastrous 2016 election, thereā€™s no denying that a change in leadership is desperately needed. One of the primary complaints leveled by Democratic supporters during and after the 2016 election was the lack of diverse faces in leadership positions. A party once led by Barack Obama and his picturesque first family is now scrambling to find candidates that can excite millennials and invigorate the base. It should come as no surprise to anyone well versed in Washington politics that managing to do both is no easy task. Politicians like Obama come along once in a generation."

Kamala Harris and Kirsten Gillibrand will lead Democrats to 2020 victory | TheHill

But Harris and Gillibrand? I appreciate articles like these are essentially just trial balloons crafted by political consultants in an attempt to get their candidates out front in the public perceptions and can't be taken too seriously.

I don't know about Harris, but Gillibrand is still Chuck Schumer's sock puppet. She's originally from conservative upstate NY and was considered a Blue Dog Democrat when she was in the House. Once the corrupt David Patterson appointed her Senator after Hillary vacated her seat to join the Obama administration, she was quickly taken under Schumer's wing and has faithfully parroted the liberal mantra ever since. But VP material? Democrats are getting desperate.

The complaint was not about a lack of diversity. The complaint was over a lack of ideas.

If anyone accurately gets the word out about Harris pro illegal stance as California's AG, there is no way she gets PA, MI, WI or Ohio.

I can't imagine one of these folks winning until the Dems become more flexible on issues. Not everyone wants single payer health care and some do not support abortion, but unless one is a super progressive...guess they are not democrats. For a group that is supposed to be inclusive, doesn't sound that way to me....for the life of me can't understand how either political party extremes fail to act upon the fact that a majority of people are moderate, or lean slightly left or right...

Two WOMEN on the ticket...and one of them a black woman. Good luck with the rust belt Dems. They rejected Hillary, what are they going to make of THIS? One SJW project at a time, please.

Not likely. America rejected their ideology last November. Kamala Harris is as far Left as one can get.

She's an extreme Leftist. I can't imagine any Democrat from California being successful. Look at Pelosi. Look at former Senator Barbara "don't-call-me-mam" Boxer. And Maxine Waters? These are what California produces. idiots!

That's nonsense.

And I'm not even a fan of Harris, she has almost no voting record.

Jill Stein was probably the most "Left" candidate that's run for President, easily more communist than Sanders ever was.
