In a state that was overwhelmingly for Trump one year ago. Tonight in exit polls, Trump had a 48% approval rating - - in frickin' Alabama! Sad night in the trailer parks of the US!

Well, you could look at it that way. Or you could look at it in comparison to how badly Republican Moore did in a state with the voting history of AL.

Alabama has voted for the Republican candidate in every election since it was won by Ronald Reagan in 1980. Donald Trump won the election in Alabama with 62.9% of the vote. Jones is the first Democratic senator elected in 25 years in AL.

The Dems won despite all of this--they should celebrate.

The Alabama law calls for an automatic recount if the vote is within .01%. Jones won by 1.6%

it's going to be very hard to convince Roy Moore of that fact, though. I doubt he'll ever give a concession speech.
Re the bolded, they could be wrong, but all of the websites I've visited, + CNN and FOX on television, have stated 0.5%, not 0.1%.

I would agree if he had beaten someone who isn't so 'hobbled' or 'diseased'.

Or he'll disguise himself as a mall Santa Claus. Hope none of our children sit on his lap.
