The most reasonable and sober comment I've read on this site so far this morning. Beats all the "conservatives hate the FBI" garbage.

Out of all the candidates running who was your first choice over Hillary or Trump?

I wanted Jim Webb, my family wanted Bush, Cruze, Hillary, Sanders I didn't know anyone that wanted Trump but given the two you were forced to decide. I didn't vote for either of them.

2020 election starts now. I am sure everyone is watching so unless a middle of the road pro middle class candidate comes up I am sticking with Webb.

In Jersey I keep seeing all these Trump supporters talking about the need for the wall while having dinner at a restaurant staffed by Mexicans. The pile of bicycles outside is the sign of who they employ, not young Americans trying to get some experience or second job.

If they soften their support for leftist/liberal activists like homo, transgender, illegal and BLM type lobbies, they might get middle America back. However they would likely still lose because their radical base will abandon them.

This country has always been center right, and when the (D's) had reasoned and pragmatic presidential nominees, they had a decent chance.
But former presidents like FDR, JFK, or even Bill Clinton would not be able to get the nomination on their past platforms today.

`
People who want something from government... welfare, govt jobs and contracts, corporate favoritism (including higher education) are the people who are willing to overlook how too far left Democrats have gone and will vote Democrat.

As long as Pelosi is leader, Schumer, Hillary and Obama keeps their mouths flapping and as long as Democrats continue with political correctness they'll stay too left and they'll keep losing centrist.

But what we have found out is that he doesn't understand policy or how government works. He doesn't want to work with anyone. He just wants to basically be a dictator. This tax plan does very little for the middle class yet benefits corporations and the rich tremendously. This plan benefits Trump and his family even though he says it will hurt him And it will add over a trillion to the deficit. And guess who has to figure out how to pay for it....future generations....our kids and grand kids. Nice legacy to leave them.
Natalie many people like Trump and his shaking up the govt and it's what this country needed.... remember "Hope & Change". Well Obama certainly wasn't a change.

Liberal media doesn't want you to know that. By the way, I wouldn't bank on PA going left as long as Democrats continue with the nonsense. Democrats are seen as extreme and more interested in regaining power at our cost and for the benefit of illegals and extremist rather than doing what's good for the everyday American people.

Reagan is debatable but Nixon sure wouldn't. He would be labeled a socialist by today's right wing.

But he has accomplished more than the left give him credit for and his low ratings have more to do with his personalty than how he has governed. Remember a lot of us Republicans don't like his personally either. That being said I agree with poster number 2 or 3. It is way to early to even be thinking about 2020.

Oh I wouldn't go that far, but he was more center of the road than what we have seen since.

Maybe the Dems will pick Chelsea Clinton to run against Donald. A liberal idiot who lives in a 10m apartment, got a 600K per year job right out college and travels around preaching about white privilege.

This year is already awesome.

There is none, but the democrats will continue to beat their chests instead of addressing the issues most Americans really care about. Identity politics instead of the ability of legal citizens to earn a decent living.
