And guess what, the Evangelicals will have an orgasm as they run to the polls to vote for Pence. He will retain Trump's former base, plus add in a new group, and wind up with better numbers across the board than Trump. This would put a possible 12 year run for Republicans in the white house.
Actually Trump got the most support from evangelical voters of any candidate in history, moreso than George W. Bush. Evangelicals are primarily responsible for the Trump Presidency. They were livid about SCOTUS legalizing gay marriage for all 50 states among other things and came out in force for Trump.

As for a 12-year run; this is probably the last hurrah for the authoritarian religious right. In 12 years, people are going to wonder what the big deal was about stuff like same-sex marriage.

The death throes of the religious right? Let's hope so.

I think it's like the old joke: It ain't over until the fat lady sings.

We can all make predictions and we can all presume them to be true. But we also know how predictions work out; sometimes they're accurate, sometimes not.

I'm just sitting back waiting for the big gal with the spear and the hat with cow horns on it to come out and start to yodel.
