I don't care about the debt. I'll be dead and gone when and if it ever becomes a problem. I only care about what makes living NOW easier for ME and those I care about. Free stuff? It's OUR money, not yours or the governments.

I guess you don't have children or younger relatives. They're the ones that will face the brunt of the future financial fallout! Empathy begins at home!

The classic Republican on display- take as much as they can now regardless of how it will impact the nation, world or even their own families in the future.

The Great Society programs were stripped of their funding to support that rotten war but no, I`m not opposed to spending money for good social programs to lift people up and make them taxpayers. I protested the Viet war as a high school student and to the day it ended.

So likely you didn’t adjust your federal tax allocation at work. So the reduction in taxes in your paycheck will soon have you writing a check to Uncle Sam.

The littlebrains continue with their nonsense.
They would like us to believe that if they saw 300 dollars sitting on the table they would not bother with it. Not enough to bother with, they say.

Not what we are saying at all. Yet, I ask you, by calling others little brains, are you not just guilty of the Freudian concept of “ Projection” ?

Taken straight off the HRBlock web page when I filed in April.

The numbers are from my 2018 1040 and the 2nd number is what HRBlock listed to show me the difference in 2019 under Trump's tax cuts.

Income: $88,515 $88,515
Adjustments: $0 $0
Deduction: $9350 $18,000
Exemption: $8100 $0
Taxable income: $71,065 $70,515
Taxes Due: $20,193 $10,061
Credits: $0 $500
Taxes Paid: $15,649 $15,649
Refund: $0 $6,088
Balance Due: $4,544 $0

Now...if I owe $4500 in 2018 (Obama's tax plan?) but would get back $6000 next year (Trump's tax plan?) filing under the exact same income... how is that not a good thing?

Oh... I don't consider $88k to be the rich that Trump supposedly caters to either.
