In the other thread that I started (not seeing this one) there’s a link to an article where they stated that their brother’s support of conspiracy theories and extremist Tea Party positions were besmirching the reputation of the entire family. They remained silent when he ran initially in 2010, but his views are so far from their own since then that they felt they had to speak out to save their own reputations.

Maybe Paul is the heretic in a family of Democrats. His brother is a former D nominee for Governor of Wyoming.

"Arizona Congressman Paul Gosar, a Republican from the party's most conservative wing, is standing for re-election in November.

Fearing for the future, his siblings have thrown their weight behind their choice of candidate in a powerful new TV advert.

The striking part? It's not their brother.

Nope - six of Mr Gosar's siblings have spoken out to endorse his rival, Democrat David Brill."

Maybe the USA is coming to its senses?
Even despite this clever ad, David Brill still has a long upwards climb. He is squishy on gun rights, real squishy on immigration, and leans out there as a fan of Obamacare type health care. AZ district 4 is central/northern AZ (not Phoenix!), and the people in that area have leaned heavy to favoring libertarian policies (domestically), and small govt policies in general (but want immigration control to be robust). Brill seems more of a "Govt is our mother" type.

Paul Gosar will likely be re-elected, despite all the democrats in his family (most of whom live in AZ district 7 it seems).

Seriously? His siblings and you get that from him having no opinion about where obama was born, but had simply said -- “for the courts and for other people to decide.” about the matter? wow.

They want Paul Gosar to apologize to Soros, because Gosar alleged that Soros funded astroturfed protests in Charlottesville? That is exactly the kind of thing Soros does, and has done for decades.

Soros is likely the best example of somebody using vast wealth to manipulate governments and policies toward evil ends if anybody is. Nobody needs to apologize to him for any reason.

Maybe daddy left him all his money in his will and the six bubbas are resentful and vindictive?

I see, they are being persuaded by Pappa with the deep pockets to trash their brother's reputation.

The guy speaks out against Soros a Communist, and the Pope who covers for child molesters , and is demonized by some of his Leftist brothers and sisters. Like most people in this Conservative area of the country it will backfire on the Leftists and he will win by a landslide.
