For Bernie Sanders, Holding Onto Support May Be Hard in a 2020 Bid (African, rating)

I have the sound off on the TV, but I happened to look up at the screen and saw a poll conducted by NPR.

The subject: Favorability rating among African American Democrats.

The results surprised me.

Biden was #1 at 70%

Bernie was #2 at 59%

....and Harris and Booker were, IIRC, both somewhere in the 20s (and not #3 and #4)

Anyway, Trump has incredible energy for being what, 72? He runs around like a 40 year old.

Bernie on the other hand, just looks and acts tired, exhausted and drained, all the time.

A lot of people laugh at Bernie, but you have to admit, the guy drummed up a lot of very passionate supporters last election. A lot of what he says makes sense, maybe not all, but his heart and mind are in the right place. He definitely cares about people and what happens to them.

I am an anti-establishment conservative and Bernie appealed to me to some degree. I even attended one of his rallies. What disappointed me is his support for Hillary Clinton. He would have been one of my favorite people in world history if he ran as an independent in 2016 and constantly slammed and criticized Hillary. He sold out instead.

Of course, this is me assuming he will be competing for the Democratic nomination. Perhaps he will go independent. That could really make things interesting.

Bernie has made it clear he's running as a Democrat.

Bernie will not get the nomination, I don't believe. In the 2016 election - he was the only alternative to Hillary Clinton. This go round - he will be one of many.

That said, if Bernie did get the nomination - he's certainly a damn sight better than Trump.
