I have given a lot of thought to who the next President should be. It's Maxine Waters hands down. She has thought and written deeply about politics, international and national affairs. She has advocated an open, straightforward method of public verbal attack on bigots and liars.

Most important, she is an eloquent and convincing advocate.

Mad Maxine is the King of her Democrat Plantation. She's not going anywhere else even though she personally chooses not to live in that mess. Despite that, they keep electing her.

Please, please, please let this be the start of a movement. She should, nay, must be at the top of the democrat ticket come 2020.

Of all of her fine attributes listed by the OP, her extreme charistma was not even mentioned.

Run Maxine, run! Godspeed. And may all of you good progressives out there vote for this brilliant, charming, and handsome woman.

I especially like this innovation in debate, see Maxine Waters calls on people to confront Trump officials in public spaces:

This form of debate is a lot more open and free-form than these staged, plastic TV presidential "debates." The officials and opponents should rightfully be prepared to debate their positions at:
  1. Restaurants;
  2. Gas stations; and
  3. Department stores;
Not just where they can spend hours of time being prepped on what "spin" to give. These people are not going to come onto a discussion board and debate openly. The main caveat would be to make sure that the businesses or public spaces used as innovative debate forums not be unduly interfered with.

Great point. Granted, like Ted Cruz she always has to be the "smartest person in the room" but so be it.

This article is 6 months old.. Give it up on Maxine—boring and she’s not a big deal in the Democratic Party. She will not be nominated for President.

Why doesn’t the Repub party nominate Louie Gohmert for President? Or VP?

She's Al Sharpton with a government paycheck. She is a buffoon.

Maxine and this congresswoman would make for a good Democrat ticket. They check off most of the boxes.
