If you like that sort of gun control, why don't you move to California?
It's total rhetoric as you haven't even attempted to address the point that was being discussed and instead threw up some random story.

I actually think McSally has a better shot at winning election should Kelly get the dem nomination.

Just for clarification, he's not just a donor, he and Gabby are founders of a gun control Super PAC.

I know. I meant indirectly donating via their organization.

It's a random story when even Nancy Pelosi is basically implying use of it in the future right now, if the current president uses emergency powers?

"If the president can declare an emergency on something he has created as an emergency, an illusion that he wants to convey, just think about what a president with different values can present to the American people," Pelosi said."

""Schumer’s proposal would allow family and law enforcement to petition a court for protective orders that “temporarily disarm" people who have demonstrated that they are a threat to themselves or others""

Sounds like gun grabbing to me. Oh, history repeats itself. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gun_la...e_Soviet_Union and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/October_Revolution - The Red Army/NKVD proceeded to confiscate from anyone they deemed 'not worthy' of whatever reason to own a firearm after that. Often, mental facilities were often listed as the reason.

Or how about this:
Quote:
"According to the Crime Prevention Research Center, "gun free zones" (areas where guns are prohibited) have been the target of more than 98% of all mass shootings."
https://www.dailywire.com/news/27440...-prestigiacomo

Darn, I guess criminals don't care about your fancy gun laws after all. That's why they're criminals. Gun control only affects those that are law abiding to begin with.

Or how about how increased gun controls and fees affect the poor disproportionately, and those areas usually have increased crime, due to poverty? If anything, gun control looks to me like another attempt to keep law abiding people of color from legally protecting themselves.
https://www.nationalreview.com/2015/...s-gun-control/

And before you say 'well if we take everyone's guns, we will all be safe!' Gun confiscation in the USA is basically a joke, because:
https://www.independent.co.uk/news/w...-a8406941.html
So they're trying to cripple ownership in other ways: make it impossible for people to own without going through weird laws like the grip laws in CA. But you seem to love that stuff, so why don't you head over there?
Here's a fox news article which I don't prefer but it has a photo of the featureless grip:
https://www.foxnews.com/us/how-calif...r-ar-15-rifles
I can totally see criminals choosing this grip willingly! Common sense indeed!
Or if you want total weapon control, move to the UK where you need a license to even buy silverware, because we use knives to cut our food! Maybe this is more your speed.

^I stopped reading after about the first third of that rant, but it still doesn’t at all address the argument that you jumped in on. Either you’re choosing to deflect or know that you can’t prove it.

As for the rest of the fear-based propaganda, you even quoted them saying such things as “implied”, meaning it was never actually said and you’re reading into it to stoke your fear. Your quote goes on to describe the TEMPORARY disarming of people who have demonstrated that they are a threat to themselves or others. Who the heck would object to that? Again, it’s just common sense. No reason to get all tin-hat scared. Take a deep breath, no one is coming after you, it’s all going to be OK.

Detroit, that's a fine sentiment, but just who is going to define who is a temporary danger and who is not ?

Of course the extreme cases are obvious and deserving of disarmament.

But the grey cases ? Swatting converted to false anonymous alarms about Detroit being a danger to all conservatives ?
Sound crazy ? Yeah, but how long until it's used as a revenge mechanism. It, like many liberal ideas, sounds good in the absence of implementation, but when putting ideas to words on legislation, it's going to be tricky to keep the concept going ot innocent until proven guilty. Already in the press, one is proven guilty by the TwitterJury or InstaJury.

It's inevitable... after wrecking California, the liberals are coming here and thinking hey, let's start all over again and ruin this state up too. Sorry Arizonans... we are trying to get as many conservatives to offset the liberal infection. We'll see if if can hold 'em off.
