As to the unconstitutional jibberish need you be reminded of that when states, such as was the case in Ohio, performed their duty, indeed their obligation, in voter role maintenance, their law was upheld as constitutional.

As to the requirement of which you hope, a move such as this is effectively a candidate’s “poll tax”, in placing a constitutionally unrequired requirement upon candidates.

Again, a post that contains a perjorative betrays a true intent. I can say and support the argument that your hope is baseless without resulting to immature labeling.

What about the National Popular Vote Compact that is getting approval among many of the states? If that proposal goes into effect, millions of Republican voters would be excluded, thereby guaranteeing that the Democrat would get elected. Thing is, this would give standing to every Republican in every state to take it to court, because the NPV would negate their vote, even if they don’t live in a NPV state.

Looking at both proposals at the same time, the Democrats make everyone’s vote more critical, but then they take it away from the opposition. You have to look at their intent as a way to defraud the whole country.

It needs to be nipped in the bud by someone trying to get both actions considered at the same time.

If they can keep a presidential candidate off the ballot due to failure to submit the required paperwork - and they can - why would requiring tax returns be different?

After all, you are not required to vote only for the candidates listed on the ballot. You can vote for anyone you damn well please, and your vote will be tallied for that person.
OK lefty --- if you succeed in keeping Trump off the ballot in, let's say 6 or 7, or 20 states, don't you think that just might mean the end of the country as we know it. Do you expect Trump voters to rubber stamp a power grab by the democrats? You can prepare for flyover country to revolt.

There is no "rule" at this time that says President Trump has to release his tax forms.

If I recall correctly, some of BO's folk also decided they didn't have to obey subpoenas.

I voted for Hillary. Despite my vote she didn't succeed in stealing the election with that phony dossier.

Suffice to say, on both sides, that the subpoenas raise serious constitutional and separation of powers questions. Those questions have been swept under the rug. Compromise should be that subpoenas should have to label some suspected criminal activity. They cannot be used to look for crime for them to inturn later investigate.

That would eliminate Democrat voters.
This is a topic for another thread (which I may start) but there is a fair argument for literacy and civics tests, if only one could trust those who administer them to be fair. I personally don't know if I would pass either test, and I am a lifelong Democrat.

Can a state demand all medical records prior to assuming office? How about family medical records? By your logic, any state could demand any records to get on the ballot. School transcripts? Divorce settlements? Where would it end. Tax return release is a fairly modern convention, but it is not required by the Constitution.

Your understanding of the Constitution and the Electoral College is deficient. This would not pass Constitutional muster. At best, it would get the state's results thrown out altogether from the Electoral College.

Democrats now have endorsed institutional voter suppression.

So basically that law has disenfranchises half the registered voters in that state.

If ever there were signs of fascism, state endorsed voter suppression is one sign you can't miss.

Trump is a sitting president and no voter suppression law passed by a state can exclude him.

If this doesn't send chills up your spine about the nefarious intent and authoritarian actions of a democrat controlled government, your hatred for trump is blinding you.

Obama's corrupt IRS has and continues to review Trump's tax returns. do you think that any impropriety would not have been shouted form the headlines of the NYTimes??????

the only reason Dems want trump's tax returns is to make false charges and tie him up in knots for 2020. The old "Harry Reid" scam. Lie and make a false charge, 'he didn't pay taxes for 10 years'..... to win an election. Harry admitted it was a lie and suffered no legal or ethical consequence.

How can anyone be a democrat supporter given their soviet style behavior that could be turned on anyone for non compliance in party narrative!

That doesn't frighten you?????

Trump's returns are far more complicated than AOC's and would take an IRS agency to deficer....oh, the IRS already has taken its shot at Trump and found no impropriety but Maxine waters will??????

the TDS fantasy continues and Putin is cutting thousands of checks and mailing them to democrats and their supporters who enjoy carrying out putin's subversive attempts to divide America. Obama is smiling, his work to see carried out so effectively.
