Well let’s see come November 2020. I’m predicting right now that Trump does NOT win Michigan this time.
Today Trump scored a 51% approval/47% disapproval nationwide among likely voters.
That's probably about right. In 2016 he did very well among all statewide elections, i.e. Senators, while pockets of NeverTrumpers elected their various profane dingbats and uninformed crazies to The House.
