...nor do you have a mature understanding of the English language and what's been happening in this country for the last several decades.
Did Obama's comment come out awkward? Yes. Is easy to understand that he was explaining how these communities have been hit hard, very hard and policies of the past several decades have worked against these towns - yes it is easy to understand.
And it is easy to understand that these communities have their traditions and faith, despite such hardships.
Now onto the next corporate, conservative, contrived wingnut controversy.....

I agree with this statement completely. I mean who even made this a controversy? I know, I know, the same one who made everything else a controversy.. The more controversies that are on your opponent, the less people will be focused on yours.
at least Obama doesnt lie and say he's been a gun-toting yyyeeehaaaw since way back when.
Obama understands the frustration that middle America, Black Americans (ie Rev Wright) go thru as they cling on to religion !!!
As i have said before !! As long as less people think Obama's a muslim the greater chance he will win.
So what if Obama was/is a Muslim????
The republicans should then vote for him in droves!!
Afterall, they're so willing to kill 4,000 American troops, mutilate several thousands more and pay for a war for generations to come all to bring "peace" to a country that is 97% MUSLIM!!!!!! They LOVE muslims!!!
Clearly the choice of words was poorly chosen. However, anyone that thinks these people are not bitter/depressed, or perhaps have not given up on their gov't is just simply ignorant. Quite honestly, to pretend like rural America has been voting on major economic issues for the last two decades or so is simply insulting to them. If they have been consistently voting on economic issues without seeing any impacts then they perhaps deserve to be labelled "ignorant". However, the truth is, these people are not concerned about any economic talk simply b/c their gov't has failed them on that - they are worried about other things and tend to cling/hold on to those issues namely: abortion, gun laws, immigration reforms etc.
the GOP will smear him with it to create fear in these same rednecks....hillary's campaign in Iowa sent out email to that effect as well
And guess who is gonna be working overtime to clean up that smear - Hillary, Rendell, and Nutter. This guy is nuts tho...he's the mayor of poorly devastated philly but goes on tv and says the people of philly are not bitter. What an idiot.

Big difference between what you say here and what Obama said. You got it right - these communities have their traditions DESPITE such hardships. Obama said they cling to these traditions BECAUSE of such hardships.
