When, really, he is just a carpetbagger. Like most corporate giants, skilled at the art of the con.
Absolutely! But a darling of the corporate media he was not. They hated his guts and still do.

They figured that out of all the Republican candidates there was no way in hell that he could beat the pathological lying criminal from Chicago, Arkansas, New York or wherever the hell she claims she's from. Quite frankly, I didn't either. If anyone was a carpetbagger it was indeed Hillary Clinton, IN SPADES. Once Trump secured the Republican nomination I thought it was all over and that we were in for another 8 years of the Clinton crime family occupying the oval orifice.

The media did everything in its power to ensure that Trump got the nomination. It was all part of their scheme to ensure a Clinton victory. But it all came back to boot them in the "can" once Trump won the presidency. But they're not laughing now. They're gritting their teeth and seething with anger. It's pay back time and they're doing everything in their power to destroy him and his family and anyone who had the gall to vote for him.

The media wants a Democrat to win and are trying to run negative stories on candidates they feel are the least electable.

They currently appear to be lining up behind Elizabeth Warren.

Biden is by most outlets (ABC, CBS, NBC). CNN is kind of anti-Biden for some reason. Fox just wants the Republican in the White House. Bernie the media don't want period and that is nothing news. That and America's vote, not the media.

I just did a search on google for Trump and the first 8 pages were full of totally negative stories on him - not one thing positive. And it's not because everyone is pushing the negative narrative - it's because "they" don't want another 4 years of Trump. Story out today that google is manipulating algorithms to promote negative info on Trump. They should be shut down and fined. That's what fascist dictatorships do to control the population - wtfu .

I haven't seen too many negative stories on Bernie, though. For example they never seem to address the murky nature of his self-described 'socialism.' He makes allusions to Scandinavian countries which are capitalist 'social democracies,' not socialist. But Bernie's history suggests that he's a true blue socialist (i.e. gov't ownership of the means of production), as in Venezuela, Cuba, etc.

Maybe they figure Bernie will eventually self-implode, and so their involvement is not necessary. I do tend to think that if he's the nominee, it will be a 40-45 state blowout for Trump.

I’d say Kamala Harris. Black, female, fairly liberal

I think they REALLY wanted (and outright expected) Hillary Clinton to be president, both in 2008 and especially in 2016. I think they are very angry at both Trump, and to some extent Sanders, for disrupting their plans. So in many ways, I think they are throwing a hissy fit about anybody being elected president in 2020.

That being said, I think the media wants something of a Bush-Clinton dynasty. I think that they're dream match-up would have been Hillary Clinton and Jeb Bush, and they would have been okay with either winning.

Speaking of Trump, he's somewhat of an enigma for me in terms of what the media things. On the one hand, he's phenomenal for ratings, giving media exposure that they could only dream of with other candidates. Plus, if you like him, Trump will generally be on your side. On the other hand, Trump is terribly corrupt and is threatening the integrity of the journalism profession by declaring outlets like the New York Times and the Washington Post as enemies of the state. So they also view Trump as dangerous and want somebody who respects freedom of speech.

In terms of the top Democratic candidates, it's obvious that the media doesn't like Sanders or Buttigieg, and seems a bit unconvinced on Warren and Harris. They liked Beto O'Rourke for a while, but he seems to have faded. They really liked Biden, until about a month after he announced his candidacy, and now they've done a complete about-face from what I can tell.

It's almost like the media just wants to be angry and pout about 2016. What you all think?
"Who does the media want to be president?" ANY DEM!
