Ultimately, the Democrats in California want the illegal aliens to be able to vote, but in the meantime, they want them to be counted for the census, such that they can gain, or at least maintain the number of US representatives they can send to Washington. This will also help them gain, or at least maintain, the number of electors they control in the Electoral College.
Too many eligible voters have been voting with their feet lately, and California Democrats are worried they are losing their grip on their political power. It’s all about power to them. The country means nothing to them without their power to control it.
This effort extends beyond California, but like everything else on the extreme left, California is where it begins.
They realize that they will never be able to achieve a Constitutional Amendment to change the way we elect Presidents, so they are trying another way. This is one way.
It's the Republicans who got caught cheating in N Carolina
A Republican, Trump, welcomed and accepted Russian election interference
Republicans won't fund or take Federal action to beef up voting office cyber security
Republicans engage in voter suppression in areas with POC Republicans do the worst gerrymandering
I have yet to see district maps from any state that look worse than those done by the Democrats in Maryland. Search and see for yourself. There may well be more a Republican controlled states that gerrymander, but no one does it “better” than the Democrats in Maryland. Most cases you have to drive outside your district to get to another part of your district in the same neighborhood. Specifically look at districts 2,3,4 & 7. I am in District 3 for the moment. The Supreme Court case involved District 6, which is one of the least gerrymandered districts.
Will your state lose a representative that will go to a state with a significant number of illegal aliens? Don’t you think this is what is behind the push to keep the citizenship question off of the census forms?
All along conservatives have been stating that the Democrats are for open borders so that they will increase their number of voters. It is more insidious than that, now that we see the real reason. This was set up in the Obama administration. For two hundred years before that, the citizenship question was in the census.
I am beginning to think the smartest crooks around are Democrats in office.
Texas will gain. Democrats have always had the best Lawyers and they heavily support the Leftists.
Good news about all of this is that the American Public is now aware that the Leftists will do anything to keep the common sense and reasonable question from ever being asked.

“Are you a United States Citizen?”
LOL. Read the Constitution. The census is to account for the entire population in our country, the representatives are based on population not citizenship.
There is proof that this question which hasn’t been asked since 1950 is based on an email from a Republican donor who figured out that it would reduce the number of Hispanics responding to census.
The Government then lied to the Supreme Court on the reason the question needed to be added and lied about needing an answer before end of June.
LOL. The republican candidate's own son threw him under the bus. He's obviously guilty as charged.
Except that h hasn't been charged of anything. And his son said he shouldn't have worked with that particular individual. What part of that sounds like widespread corruption by the NC GOP. I know you are tend to hyperbole Ringo, but this even pushes it for you.
Not true. The 2000 form that you posted had TWO forms the short form which went to 80% and did NOT have the question. The Long Form that went to 20% did. And no Obama did NOT remove it because the long form was discontinued.
