Wait, why are you back in this topic after peeing on it in the beginning. hahaha

If Democrats went from being the resistance to selling the Democratic nomination to a racist, white, male billionaire it would have to rank as one of the biggest sellouts in U.S. history.

3 things kill Buttegeig in the general

1) Support for racist welfare policies that give unearned cash to people solely for the color of their skin

2) UBI-welfare for those too lazy to even consider working for a living

3) He's a small-town mayor with no relevant national or international experience

Being gay got him this far with the hipsters that want to see the first gay president. And the fact that he doesn't ramble on like some senile loon of course doesn't hurt. But his policies in ways are left of even Bernie or Lizzie.

Toyman, UBI was a Yang's proposal. And no Pete's rise is not from hipsters.

He just took some of Sanders/Warren's ones, copied pasted edited, and now speaks little to them now as he is now is a favorite for lobbyists and special interests.

If you are referring to the Douglass Plan, I'm very skeptical about it. It looks like something concocted purely to get black voters. Nobody even knows what it is.

I agree. Assuming he wins the nomination, no way in the general election will real individual voters - in real voting booths at the only poll that matters, on election day, on a constituency-by-constituency basis - perceive him as "moderate".

An Amy Klobuchar showing prosecutorial teeth on illegal immigration and border security would pose the biggest threat to Trump.

If we are to believe half the people on this forum, she needs those illegal votes.

I suspect Amy will follow Kyrsten Sinema and other moderate Democrat senators' views and those that prefer bi-partisan measures on illegal immigration.

Most so-called "latinos" whom I know are here legally, highly successful and are deeply offended by illegal immigration.

In any case, the vote is individual on a constituency-by-constituency basis. In spite of what would-be data collectors and propagandists say, on that basis I see no consistent evidence on the ground over the years every two years that this "ethnic" thing determines the results of elections.
