I can see a scenario where Biden picks a far left VP, then a few months after taking office steps down due to "declining mental health", leaving us with an ultra-liberal president that most of us don't want.

That's why you vote Trump. Voting Biden is voting for his VP choice... LOL

Stacy Abrams? God help us all.

Exactly. Trump has his faults but at least he is Pro America. His ego, his narcissism is so big that he won't let the nation fail on his watch but the Dems have admitted that they want to tear it all down.

I think it is really shifty how the Dems haven't announced who they are picking as VP. They are using the virus lock down to keep Uncle Joe in in his basement and away from the public eye that will see how bad he is.

The Dems have done a terrific job of trashing Trump over the last 4 years that it will be surprising if he can pull off a win and if he doesn't then.. well it has been a nice run America now get ready for some "democrat socialism". OH boy I can't wait.

No question that the doddering old fool Biden, who is likely to be elected ( God help us! ) will just be a puppet for however long he remains as president, to be replaced as soon as possible by a likely leftwing VP, on the order of Kamala Harris, or, even worse, Fauxcohontas. It may well be a lesser known name, but you can be sure her politics will be to the left of even Biden's, who just adjusts his non-existent "principles" to whatever is the current flavor of his party.
This scenario, combined with likely full Democratic control of congress, DC statehood, and amnesty to millions of illegal aliens will result in a one party state, just what the Bolsheviks, I mean Democrats desire.
It's ALL about the power to them. They will brook no opposition or conflicting opinions to their groupthink, and those who resist will be crushed.

This is exactly what is happening. No sane person actually thinks Biden is capable of anything. The VP choice that the DNC hand picks will be the actual person being voted into the WH.

How does Hesychios see it playing out? You actually think Biden is going to be there for 4 years? LOL! Who do you want his VP to be?

Yes we do.

Biden is a very intelligent man, with tremendous government experience from the senate (his voters elected him to that seat six times) and very knowledgeable on foreign and domestic affairs. Plus Biden is a skilled and experienced debater, something you will soon learn for yourself.

Also, he cares about people like me.

I don't write blank checks, so if he decides to run for a second term in 2024 I would revisit this, but he is fit and trim. Apparently he is a runner, and his wife is an MD, knows how stressful life in the white house can be, and very supportive of him taking this on.

I do believe that whomever Biden's pick for VP happens to be will have the inside track to the presidential nomination in 2028 (or 2024 if Biden steps aside), so I will pay attention to his pick as much as anyone.

I don't know, nor have an inkling about who the pick might be. I am not close to the campaign and I wouldn't venture a guess.

I was delighted to find that Tammy Duckworth was supposedly on the short list. She is my senator and I supported her in her run against senator Mark Kirk, who was a complete dufus. She is a high integrity individual who cares deeply about veterans issues and people in general.

If Biden is looking at people of her caliber, we will be in good hands for the next twelve to sixteen years.

I LOL'ed.

Can't wait to see that skilled and experienced debater go head to head with Trump... he should be good as long as he doesn't take questions.

120 million dead from COVID was it? LOL

This is 2020... not 2008. Joe is long gone.
