Yeah they also decided Black People are 3/5th of a person.

The System 1) isn’t good just because it currently is

2) they did not imagine a place where one state is 80x larger than the other

3) it was not this unanimous decision most founding fathers people actually know (Adams, Jefferson, Washington) we’re not only against the Senate but the Electoral College

If Biden wins 51-46 and loses the Electoral College there will be Chaos because the system disenfranchises people and those people being disenfranchised will be mad

It looks like a Biden popular vote win of 5% corresponds to about a 10% chance of losing the electoral college. In 2016, there were over 137 million votes cast for president nationwide, and the electorate in general has been pretty fired up in the primaries this year, so 145 to 150 million is certainly possible.

In a rather high turnout scenario with 150 million votes, it is indeed possible that Biden could end up ahead by 7.5 million with huge wins in solid blue states and narrow losses in swing states. That is more than double Clinton's nearly 3 million, functionally useless, advantage in the 2016 race. If Biden can't close the deal in the right combination of states including at least a few of MI, PA, WI, AZ, FL and NC then it's going to be a difficult four more years for those who are ready for a change from the current regime.

The founders simply did not invision how far our nation would advance. When the EC was written it was to protect slavery in the Southern states. However, we no longer have slavery thus making the EC irrelevant. Republicans have to rely on the minority because their policies are NOT popular with the majority of Americans. EC defenders complain about tyranny of the majority, but they forget about tyranny of the minority which happens with the Electoral college.

The left is brainwashing their sheep to believe this BS. We are a democratic representative republic. This prevents mob rule from places like CA, parts of NY and IL. It's a superior system to mob rule. Civics classes are no longer taught in schools?

The founders wrote a document that is amendable- they didn't need to foresee anything in particular but realized we would need to adapt. The only reason the EC went into place is because small states insisted on it or they would not join the union. So large states have been under their thumb ever since.

FWIW- Biden specifically needs to flip the three rustbelt states or Az and Florida. His campaign managers don't seem as useless as the folks who decided Clinton should spend all her time in Ohio, NC, and Florida when it was widely known those were the states to deliver a knock out not a win.

The big question is if the folks who do not want Trump to win will actually commit to voting for Joe. That's one area where Rs always outperform Dems- they realize they actually have to vote to get what they want or stop what they do not like. Dems tend to have marches and concerts instead...

California has a population bigger than the states of:

Connecticut
Utah
Iowa
Nevada
Arkansas
Mississippi
Kansas
New Mexico
Nebraska
West Virginia
Idaho
Hawaii
New Hampshire
Maine
Montana
Rhode Island
Delaware
South Dakota
North Dakota
Alaska
... and the District of Columbia COMBINED. (Source: Wikipedia Census data) That's 20 states plus DC!

That is why we have the EC! Still unsure? Read the bolded quote again!

It was a different era, culturally, back then.

That doesn't mean the structured system of how we determine a president, ensuring EQUAL representation, that they put into place, should just be thrown out because of other elements that were commonplace in society then.

The electoral college works well.

Democrats and the left are just butthurt because their candidate did not win. If roles were reversed, Democrats would be shouting to "keep the electoral college in place!"

Democrats do not care about process, they care about power.

How much of a lead in the popular vote..
Big. Real Big.
Biden will take New York and California by 60/40. That's 8.7M + 4.5M = 13.2M votes. Trump got 7.6M out of those two states.
Biden and Trump can only expect to get around 62M votes each, so Biden will only get 48.8M votes in states where Trump will get 54.4M votes.

Biden is in trouble.
