As I predicted the day before the election, the huge margin in the polls was waaaaaay off. I actually expected Biden to lose, with Trump expanding his margin in WI. Trump certainly got more votes this year, but ironically (and happily), Biden beat Trump by a very narrow margin of about .6%. Not one bit surprised it was this much of a squeaker.
The BLM protests and violence/looting/destruction in Milwaukee and other parts of the country and talk of defunding police are a REAL TURNOFF to the nonurban parts of the state, occupied by many who've fled urban areas for that exact reason. I had noisy marchers past my suburban house three nights a week for a month - and I've gotta say, I got pretty darn sick of the disturbance.
Didn't stop me from voting for Biden, however. Trump HAD to go and I don't agree with any GOP policies.
So, Biden won by the skin of his teeth. But, liberals and SJWs better beware - I expect the mid-terms to result in more losses in the House. They've gotta put a lid on it.
We BARELY got a Dem gov. in 2018. Late night votes from Milwaukee sealed it again with less than 1% of the vote. Evers could easily be unseated in 2022. In this state, for the past 12 years, rural GOP vote pretty much rules. We've got a lot of stupid GOP people we can't get rid of because the urban Dems don't vote consistently.
Both houses of our State Legislature are GOP dominated way out of balance to the electorate - extreme gerrymandering - which the results of this election won't help to fix it doesn't appear.
Black voters 87% for Biden 12% for Trump some said Trump would get 15%.
Latino voters 66% for Biden 32% for Trump
LGBT voters 61% for Biden 28% for Trump that is a suprise to me.
