McCain is a pretty sly old fox. He is trying to set up Barrack Obama but so far Obama is not taking the bait. McCain has said "oh we need to do a publicly financed campaign" and that "I am not going to run a negative campaign" trying to get Obama to take the bait and promise to do the same.
What McCain knows is that he does not have to spend money or go negative. There are plenty of Republican attack organizations that are going to spend money and do McCain's "dirty work" for him. Obama knows this I am sure and he is not going to take the bait.

First, just because McCain might need to do a pubicly financed campaign, this does not mean that the Democratic rival is required to do the same. One can do private while the other does public, McCains choice has nothing to do with Obama's choice.
As for McCain not needing to spend money to go negative, last I checked it was a Democrat going negative against Obama.. Not a Republican. In addition, there are far more Democratic committees that would go negative against McCain then Republican. Move On.org, and the enviromental wackos are just a small sampling.
On Thursday, a spokesman for Mr. McCain said that he would take up Mr. Obama on a proposal for an accord between the two major party nominees to rely just on public financing for the general election.
2007. That's when it was agreed to. Obama had no clue he would get so much money at the time.

McCain and Obama are two foxes in a hen house... each trying to outmaneuver each other for the prize... Obama and McCain are no saints like they would like the voters to think they are, sadly, people see them as "opportunities" to improve on their condition at someone else's expense... those are the kind of politicians people look for and that is the unfortunate part of humanity...
Neither of them is going to really go for this now. McCain raised $7 Million at one fundraiser in NY. Something tells me they're both going to rethink their positions-LOL
The Obama stimulus package...Thanks folks, here's your money back...lol.
LOL, I like this idea!!!!
