Absolutely.

See, the problem is we and most likely the Iranian PEOPLE would like to see this regime gone. That's the ONLY way to stop their nuclear ambitions. Get rid of the crazies. Convince and display how isolated they are.

If Obama sat down with the nut, the reverse would happen. He would legitimize the regime.

Yep, you're right....because isolation isn't how they built the nuclear facilities they have now. That was back during inclusiveness, and the US President is the person that establishes your government as real, otherwise, you're not legit. We've got to keep ignoring these people, otherwise they're going to get a nuclear weapon, and then what? War I tell ya, war.

Perhaps (again) Bush doesn't have a clue about what he's referencing. Obama has not been in a position to appease anyone.

The Neville Chamberlain reference points to his agreement to let Hitler overtake a portion of Czechoslovakia in the years immediately prior to WWII. Chamberlain appeased Hitler by conceding territory. That is what appeasement is: giving something away in the hopes that the receiver won't be hungry for more.

Exactly what has Obama given away to anyone?

On the other hand, Bush has certainly appeased Osama bin Laden by giving him sanctuary in NW Pakistan.

Those who live in glass houses...

BTW Cap: semper fi.

Korea, Iran Iraq axis of evil.
Bush played hard ball with all
Iraq is a mess
Iran is getting nuke
North Korea has exploded nukes
all because of Bush so called diplomacy

Now since North Korea has exploded nukes Bush has decided talking to them is ok.
John Bolton Condemns Bush’s “North Korea Capitulation†because of what Bush has negotiated with North Korea.

The sad part is many of us American's are still stupid enough to fall for this fear mongering once again.

Thank you for posting this as a lot of people didn't even know the meaning of the word appeasement. Like that idiot on Chris Matthews show last night. Bush was way out of line with those statements and just proves how out of touch with reality he and McCain really are.

I need no reminders of the definition of an appeaser. Nice try.

But here, I'll give you mine anyway

The policy of granting concessions to potential enemies to maintain peace.

Thank Heaven that George Bush still has time to help John McCain in these matters! Vote Democrat! Iran has been a problem for years, and none of our foreign policies have done much to mitigate the problem. Hmm, we armed Saddam to fight Iran, then we disarmed Saddam, then we created a power void in Iraq and handed power to the Shia who were related to Iran, but somehow simply speaking leader to leader is a major foreign policy disaster?

You're missing an important point. The goal should be to get rid of this oppressive, murderous, dangerous regime.

If the president of the U.S. were to sit down with the crazy-nut in Iran, that would bolster his legitimacy.

Right now, Iran is isolated, due to U.N./World sanctions against them.

They are many opposition groups in Iran that despise the leadership. We should be helping them, not the crazy-nut in charge.
