I've been a lifelong Republican. No more. I doubt that I will ever vote for a Republican for any office at any level again. They have seriously damaged America and I think it will take them quite some time to recover the public's confidence.
They simply cannot be trusted to govern. Going forward, they should be restricted to the role of "loyal opposition."
Lifelong democrat turned republican. After the borken promised, the worse congress in history, we all know we made a huge mistake in voting them to the majority. Only thing is few are honest enough with themselves to know they are a disaster, add a dem President and we will be in allot of trouble.
Rep have not done well, but you can blame that on a select few of them.
Dem have done terrible with what was handed them and they are all to blame because they ran on promising us things would change, well, they have changed alright, for the worse.
Dont wish change if the people you vote for cannot deliver. The dem congress has not delivered and they have lied and broken promises.
Time to put the best congress we ever had back to work, we need to rep congress of Newt Gingrich who lead us to a surplus and a great America.
I am voting straight republican, dems have had their chance of change and have FAILED us all.
Op, does the dem party know what they have done wrong? I seriously doubt it.
The republicans in congress have strayed from true conservatism, evidenced by their spending sprees in congress.
If they get the boot, let that be a lesson to them.
One think you libs/dems have to realize - The gains the dems achieved in the house/senate 2006 were attributed to conservative democrats running in conservative districts.
If you'll notice, Soup-line Nancy has had a hard time reining in those blue-dog dems.

So the strategy of Rohm Emanuel, & gang for the 2006 election kinda backfired.
Go out and find the most conservative democrat you can to run against the incumbent conservative republican.
And these blue-dogs do have power in numbers. They are not easily strongarmed - if they stick together.
