I just watched her concession speech. Pretty clear she still hates the idea of Trump returning anywhere near the Oval Office and said she'd do everything she can to prevent that from happening.
The thought crossed my mind that it's entirely possible Cheney represents a greater threat to Trump out-of-office than she was while holding office. There's a lot of stuff you can do as a private citizen that you're prevented from doing while holding public office.
Make no mistake, I'm not saying that getting primaried out is the preferred way to accomplish her goal, but not actively holding public office offers a lot of latitude that an office holder is prevented from acting on. Remember, she's still the Jan.6th Co-Chair until January, so she still has a fair amount of time to make Trump's life very uncomfortable. Y'all can party like it 1999, but I don't think we've seen the last of Trump v. Cheney. Ignore at your own risk.
Going all in on Orange Man Bad did her in though. She could have questioned J6, sure, but going so completely rabid shows she's obsessed with a certain idea she has and is willing to sacrifice everything to pursue that idea, even if it the least important thing on the agenda.
Funny how all the Anti-American leftists here on C-D were celebrating the 'demise' of the Republican Party a few months ago yet now they seem so very hurt by the overwhelming spanking their little Dem-plant Liz Cheney received. Why be so hurt when it's the "demise of the Republican party?" Shouldn't you lefties be celebrating? Isn't this what you wanted?
