According to Andrew Yang, and he cites many studies on the subject, but you are predisposed as to what party you will support. Which means that you are born either Democrat or Republican.
Born a dem or a repub? If Yang said that, he's a liar. It's how one is raised and experiences through life.

I've listened to yang on policy, he's bought and paid for.

The OP's comments are well presented, I respect her opinions, and feel she's right. Now, if this current group Democrats could just listen to her....they can't though.

The uber-leftists have taken over the Democrat party from the moderate Dems...the old school Dems. The uber-left is occupying the Democrat party, & are trying to cancel the centrist Democrats.

Until the majority of centrist Dems stand up and toss the uber-radical leftists out of the Democrat party, the party will be unable to make the changes the OP desires.

Dems will lose the next 2 election cycles, while their internal tug-o-war plays out. Some Dems like the OP will stay at home and not vote, or flip to a Republican while they hold their noses. Independents will vote mostly for Pubs, and they'll tip the scales in Novemer & 2024.

Pelosi will be gone from public view by years end, & Shumer will begin to fade, but will hang on a bit longer becauae the Senate will be so closely contested. After these 2 are gone, we'll know which direction the Democrat party will take in the future.

Suburban women are notoriously pro-choice. The ruling will help the Dems with them.

The economy, as always, will be the main issue. The democrats will be slaughtered, regardless of the candidate.

Issues like abortion fall down the list of importance when someone is concerned about providing food and shelter for their families.

Suburban women do not like religious fanatics and legislators having any say on what women do with their or have any input in women's personal health decisions.

Suburban women are majority pro choice in the 1st tri-mester only. Afterwards, they become incresingly pro-life.

Moderate Democrat here, agree with the OP except I am pro choice. Not sure of the time limit but somewhere in the second trimester.
We do not want to be ruled by religious fanatics and we also need to get rid of the progressive left. Get back to normal.

THIS.

And that's where the knot is.

See, under the normal circumstances, the Republicans stronghold were usually the wealthy suburbs, where women were taken care of by their men ( i.e. the housewives/stay at home moms, like the OP.)
So the men were attending churches with their wives, and the whole families were adhering to the "right wing" beliefs.

Not any longer.

Now the suburban women vote in the same manner as the "havenots" women, because of this very specific issue, while keeping all the privileges of "suburban life" as decades ago.

And THAT's what is messing up the "political field" big time in America.

Suburban women are for the most part Mothers..... They may agree with abortion (in the first few weeks... but no way anyone who has carried a child to term and loves their children like most of us do) could imagine killing their child up to the day of birth. When that baby kicks the first time, your heart aches... so good.....

The Democrat's have no one to blame but themselves for this debacle. If they hadn't let the radical left harp on about late term basically infanticide abortions my every instinct says RvW wouldn't have overturned. If the teacher's and Disney hadn't acquiesced to the woke "left" that teaching children about transgenderism had to be taught to 4-year- olds..... the right wouldn't get so upset. If Biden would put a stop to all the illegals flooding into our country. I live in a very rural area... and we are being overrun with non-English speaking people who are here illegally, and the crime is starting to ramp up. And... quite honestly..... one only needs to take a trip down memory lane to see how Biden and his buddies treated the best Justice we've got on the Court during his confirmation.... While I doubt that Thomas had revenge on his mind (he seems like too good of a man to do that)....... I sure wouldn't blame him either, and kind of snicker at the thought. Biden has been a mean old man since the day he first came on the scene, and the democrat's pushing him as "Good Ole Joe" may have been bought by those suburban housewives once because they hated Trump.... but they won't be fooled again....
