Actually, Laura Loomer lost in the Florida 11th's Republican primary.

Basically another MTG or Boebert.

Despite losing Primary, Laura Loomer claims to be new CD 11 Congresswoman, demands Dan Webster resign

“I actually am the Congresswoman in Florida’s 11th District, and everyone knows it,” she wrote. “I’m not going anywhere except Washington, D.C. Florida’s 11th District is my home and I am going to keep fighting for the people here who have zero representation thanks to the feckless GOP establishment and voter fraud.”

https://floridapolitics.com/archives...ebster-resign/

I hope to God she shows up in Washington and tries to claim the seat. And I hope there are a lot of cameras around to record the epic meltdown that is sure to follow as she is escorted off the premises. If we're really lucky she'll be in handcuffs.

This is complete insanity. I don’t care how conservative you are, how can anyone support a lunatic like that? If Republicans want to win elections, they need more candidates like Glen Youngkin (who won) and fewer candidates like Walker, Mastriano, Lake, etc who will probably lose.

Yep and candidates like Dr. Oz in PA and "Hillbilly Elegy" JD Vance in Ohio, who are struggling mightily. People out here in the Midwest are getting tired of having these goofs foisted on them by Trump. All it will take is a common sense centrist Democrat like Ryan in Ohio to leave them in the dust on election day.

Vance calling the voters of the base that he must have on his side "hillbillies"? How dumb can you get? The fact that Trump chose this guy shows he does not have a clue about the people in the heartland.

I read Vance’s book “Hillbilly Elegy” about 3 or 4 years ago. I thought it was a very insightful book on some of the issues effecting the working class. After reading it I got the impression he was a Democrat. Although he gladly accepted Trump’s endorsement, I wouldn’t put him in the same category as some of the other hopeless, clueless, ignorant Republican candidates.

Apparently he doesn't want childless people to vote. Also, backing by Theil alone is enough to set off alarms. Excluding people based on whether to not have children. Is THAT the kind of guy who'll properly represent Americans?

Quote:
J.D. Vance, backed by tech billionaire Peter Thiel. He also praises Hungary's Viktor Orban.

"" The “childless left”, he said, have no “physical commitment to the future of this country” yet offer an “elite model” for the American business and political class. ""

And

"“Why is this just a normal fact of … life for the leaders of our country to be people who don’t have a personal and direct stake in it via their own offspring?”

Harris has two stepchildren with her husband, first gentleman Doug Emhoff, who are known to call her "Momala". Buttigieg has no children with his husband, Chasten Buttigieg. Booker and Ocasio-Cortez are in relationships but are not married and do not have children.

“The Democrats are talking about giving the vote to 16-year-olds,” Vance said. “Let’s do this instead. Let’s give votes to all children in this country, but let’s give control over those votes to the parents of the children.

I think that's a point that is painfully overlooked by his base. That being they aren't the majority and that other than presidential elections there is no Electoral College to bail them out. The most votes win. Period.

It one thing to win the six-foot and under basketball tournament but quite another when the game is opened up to all comers.

The 2022 Platform for the Republican Party of Texas actually calls for the establishment of a “state electoral college” to decide statewide races by legislative districts instead of statewide popular vote. If you ever doubted that Texas Republicans fear they are becoming a minority, look no further for proof.
